The Commercial National Bank Building (CNBB) was built in 1917 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed by renowned architect, Waddy B. Wood, the building displays austere neo-classicism. The building’s Greek Doric order, decorative motifs, metopes, and triglyphs accent a limestone façade. In 1986, the building was renovated to incorporate an eleven story addition to the west fronting on New York Avenue, NW.
